About My New Blog & Collecting Goals

I've decided to start a blog to share my hockey card collection, and to be more involved in the collecting community. I collect Tampa Bay Lightning cards and autographs, and I do my collecting of autographs both in person and TTM. My Lightning autograph collection is the main part of my collection, however I love the game of hockey and enjoy cards and autographs of all players and teams. I was able to add a lot to my collection this past season, and hope to continue to build on a successful season, and reach some of my collecting goals.

This off-season, I'm going to start a new project getting together a "set" of rookie cards of the 2004 Stanley Cup team. It shouldn't be too hard, and I hope to have that out of the way before the new season starts.

Also, I would like to start a team binder, with one card of each player to ever play for the Lightning, and continuing that by adding a new card each time a player debut's with Tampa. Ideally the player needs to be pictured in a Lightning uniform on the card.

Once the season begins, I plan on checking off getting signatures from new additions to the Lightning, and any prospects that make their NHL Debuts.

I'm also excited to see what the 2015-16 season of trading cards has in store, and to delve into some of the new releases.

I'll add a For Trade list, as well as a Want List, and my next post will be a more general overview of my collection, and from there I'll update as I add new cards to my collection, get a new autograph, or open packs or boxes of cards.
